Review on πŸ”§ A-Premium Front Passenger Window Regulator Replacement with Motor for Chevy Silverado, Tahoe, GMC Yukon, Sierra, Escalade (2000-2006) by Juan Moncrief

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Easily installs on the front driver's door of a 2003 Suburban.

This unit was similar to the OEM unit that failed in my 2003 Chevy Suburban. But it was the same with another one I had installed from another manufacturer and it broke down after 1.5 years of very infrequent use. Nonetheless. I am hopeful. For the record, I have a friend who paid double the amount for ACD. And it also broke after a little over a year since he uses his truck a lot more than I do. But still. Both of our OEMs have survived approximately 150,000 miles. Or the block swap took me about 6,000 miles and it has about 15,000 miles. That's 10% of the time the original lasted. Thing is, I deal with a lot of the details. I'm not sure if ACD (or any other brand) has just one source of spares. I ordered 3 MOOG ball joints. 3 out of 4 were very different in build quality but all 3 were measured and fit exactly the same. In my opinion, consistently high-quality branded parts are a thing of the past. I paid for quality at MOOG but didn't get the same quality. All same parts #, same parts house, same packaging. but far from identical. To be honest I only replaced TWO regulators. I'm just not sure if the ACD will be any better quality than this one. And that's half the price. But, but, but. If I was sure that ACD was only $70 I would buy it. This is an easy task once you get rid of the fear of breaking the plastic parts of the interior! Just take your time and separate the pieces easily. This is an easy 30 minute job that will save you hundreds of hands if you do it yourself. Thank you for reading my review. Now I'm happy with this part. hope it lasts
