My little dog knew what to do as soon as he was ready! If you don't know how to do everything yourself, I recommend hiring an experienced handyman who has installed dog doors before; I did and he did an excellent job! I don't understand the negative reviews as this is a superior product compared to other dog doors. Yes, it's expensive, but it's worth it! If installed incorrectly, it will not work as intended. In any case, I wish I had bought it a long time ago! I had an old dog door, well, no comparison. This Pelxidor is a Rolls Royce! My small dog can now see clearly through the glass panels both inside and outside the door. Highly recommended!
