Review on πŸ“ž Grandstream GXP2130 Enterprise IP Telephone with 2.8" LCD, POE, Power Supply Included - Black by Nate Jenkins

Caution Emptor works well with phones

While this is a good phone, it has limitations. For example, if you want the full caller ID, it won't appear on the screen. You get the phone number and the first four Alpha IDs. In the call list, it expands to five. So don't expect this full-color screen to be as fully functional as Grandstream should have made it, but it looks like it's hit the low road. If you want to use a headset, check what is compatible with this phone before you buy. It uses an RJ9 connector (not RJ11). Will not be with other than those stated. Can't get rid of annoying default screens. Prepare to find a manual (not included) online as well. The manual is usually written by engineers, seemingly without the end user in mind, as you can see by scrolling through the GUI options and nomenclature to be fully programmable without being an IT pro. While getting a reasonable IP phone for the money, consider your needs.

Pros
  • HD audio through speaker and handset, dual gigabit ports
Cons
  • High price
