Detergent works quite well BUT it smells! I use all unscented products and have an odor disorder. I got very sick. disoriented. Dizzy. nausea. It can last several days after exposure. BUT the scent/aroma didn't make me sick but is noticeable in the machine and may linger on the fabric after washing. I try to use very little product and that helps. In any case, this detergent requires a lot, but depending on the load I use even less. The aroma of it is not even very attractive. It's light, but it has an odd flower mixed in with something I can't identify, but not 'good'. That's a good cleaner! I don't say anything bad about it. I just want to make sure I don't risk it if you have an aromatic disease. If you're just not okay with synthetic fragrances (which are made from chemicals and toxins responsible for creating xenoestrogens and harming the environment), then I think they're worth buying. It cleans well. And it will freshen up your soiled or smelly clothes. Hope that helps!
