Very nice case

I received one of these cases to replace an outdated Corsair GTX USB drive. This case is actually slightly smaller than one of those drives. That's a really good body. I like the magnetic cap, it fits the USB plug snugly and has good magnetic strength. The case has easy screw access on the bottom and comes with a thermal pad (the pad is too big and needs to be cut off). I like that the fit of the parts is good and accurate. Nothing dangles after assembly. I connected it to a 256GB Transcend S400 drive (TS256GMTS400S). On the USB3 port, I was able to get a sustained write speed of 330MB/s and a read speed of around 400MB/s on a large transfer (160GB). It's definitely faster than my old USB sticks. The body and panel dissipate heat well. Of course, the thermal performance of this case depends on what you put in it. I used an IR thermometer to measure the outside temperature. On my S400, I've had around 55C on steady writes and around 45C on steady reads (at these speeds, it only takes a few minutes for a read/write to fill the drive's capacity). It's generally hot enough that you don't want to touch it during heavy activity. However, my idle temperature was around 35 °C (slightly warm to the touch). One thing I noticed while assembling it was the small holes in the left and right sides of the case. At first I didn't know why there were these holes, but after connecting it became obvious. There are power/activity LEDs on the board and these holes are made so you can see the light.
