Too bad it closes 2 USB ports.

This seems like the cheapest and easiest solution to turn a 2242 m.2 SSD into an external drive. Dissipates heat well. Nice design, good instructions, everything included.

My RPi4 has never been happier!

100% aluminum with good heat dissipation. Durable and easy to open for maintenance. Very fast. Both Windows and Linux are natively supported. I paired it with an angled USB-C adapter (B08PSCL9FC) and a 128GB Transcend SSD (B07KG2G152) and now my RPi4 just flies! The silver anodizing is a bit cheesy and I would have preferred black, but that wasn't available. in the USB-C version, but otherwise a great product.

Rugged SSD to USB Adapter

Well made aluminum case for a repurposed Chromebook SSD. Suitable size for 2242 M.2 SSD. Slightly large for tightly clustered USB ports, larger size provides a comfortable grip when using; easy compromise. Excellent support from the manufacturer, fast communication. UPDATED a year later: He died, almost to the day. I bought these as a replacement. Worked flawlessly with Mac/Linux/ChromeOS devices. SSD changed several times. The symptoms of death are the same as the original: LEDs are on, the…

Good solid case

I liked the first one so much I got a second one to use the short M2 hard drive left over from the upgrade. The build quality is very reliable. I haven't found anything suitable for mSATA or 80mm M2 drives yet. The short sleeve is perfect for the 40mm M2 to keep the extra sleeve from protruding from the USB port. It doesn't work with closely spaced USB ports like the 4 packs on the motherboard, works great with the ones on the front which tend to be better spaced and the individual ports on my…

Very nice case

I received one of these cases to replace an outdated Corsair GTX USB drive. This case is actually slightly smaller than one of those drives. That's a really good body. I like the magnetic cap, it fits the USB plug snugly and has good magnetic strength. The case has easy screw access on the bottom and comes with a thermal pad (the pad is too big and needs to be cut off). I like that the fit of the parts is good and accurate. Nothing dangles after assembly. I connected it to a 256GB Transcend…
