Review on 🔧 Tulead Spring Lid Support - Left/Right Lid Support Hinge, Red Bronze Iron Support Box Cabinet Hardware Set of 2 with Mounting Screws by Star Bell

Like other reviewers, I was a little annoyed that no installation specs came with it. These types of hinges need to be installed accurately to work properly. In this case, the top opening of the main body should be 1-1/16 inches from the top of the board it is mounted on. The arm attachment dimension depends on the desired opening (90 or 105 degrees). Using the specs for similar hinges, I was able to install them correctly, but not with the screws provided. Looking at them, it was easy to see that they were defective - rough patches and threads down the center of the head. I went for quality screws and just threw the included screws in the bin. On the plus side, they seem to hold up to the rated weight. Two of them require the chest lid to be closed. It holds the toy box lid at any angle.
