Brighter than I expected!

I have ceiling fans with candelabra base lights and they aren't bright enough. These bulbs make all the difference. Still fully dimmable down to a very slight glow, but now max is brighter than I will ever need. I wanted to get LED and considered base adapters but in the end these were the best available solution. Better than traditional bulbs in every respect and much smaller and better dimming/color than LEDS, though they do use 5x as much power as an LED and have 1/8 of the life span. Can't…

Pros
  • Use in my bathroom. Bright and long lasting
Cons
  • May create glares in reflective surfaces

These are perfect for my purpose, which is hidden inside a ceiling fan light housing that doesn't show the bulbs. These bulbs are very tiny, and therefore would look odd in an exposed bulb application. They are definitely noticeably brighter than the standard incandescent bulbs and three of these vs 3 of the old-school bulbs really helped. As far as longevity, that remains to be seen. Several people have noted that these bulbs have a short life. I would caution that you should not touch the glass…

Pros
  • Outdoor lighting. Fast delivery.
Cons
  • Not environmentally friendly, since it contains hazardous material

Bright - Don't Expect Any Miracles

I just got these today, and installed them right away. Quick story: These are quite good, but don't expect a miracle.I recently installed a ceiling fan that uses two candelabra bulbs. Well, had I known that candelabra lights were so feeble I never would have ordered and installed this particular ceiling fan. After a coupe runs to the local store, I decided to look for something with a little more juice than what I could find locally. I came across these, and purchased them. They are bright…

Pros
  • The bulbs work great. Easy to install. Good quality.
Cons
  • Higher energy consumption compared to LED bulbs

Great bulb, IF IT WOULD STAY in the socket

Great bulb, IF IT WOULD STAY in the socket! There is no clear indication about the difference between the candelabra and mini candelabra base. By the time I figured it out (several trips to Home Depot/ Lowes with this bulb, finally bringing the whole light fixture!), Ebay's return policy had expired, even though they sent me paperwork to return it (but the offer had already expired?). The difference between which base it is E11 (mini) vs E12 (regular candelabra) could be CLEARLY shown, which…

Pros
  • Great bulb
Cons
  • Overheating could fry internal components of fixtures with low capacities

So far this product has lived up to its expectations. At this stage, it is too early to evaluate the hours of service but the lumens and brightness have been on target Not the easiest item to find on a shelf locally.Update 2/21/16. Original equipment in 4 bulb fixture. One replaced 10/3/15, about 8 mo. Life. A different bulb blew 2/18/16, lasting about one year. WILL REORDER. SATISFIED.Better prices on line than local retail and still hard to find locally.

Pros
  • Simply - works well and does what it says!
Cons
  • Could be too bright for certain areas or situations

Great Bulbs good for me

I looked all over town for 40-watt bulbs like this and could not find them (I believe I found 15 watt and that is all--co Can emit flickering light with certain dimming switches.

Pros
  • FULLY DIMMABLE: These bulbs are fully dimmable without losing performance, meaning you can adjust for the exact amount of light you need. The frosted finish of each glass bulb also offers a softer, diffused effect for the light. Great in chandelier fixtures.
Cons
  • Can emit flickering light with certain dimming switches

i guess I can keep my new ceiling fan

I installed a ceiling fan only to discover the candelabra bulbs were way to wimpy to light up the room. The Bulbrite bulbs did the trick, dim well also. I guess I don't have to get a replacement fan after all. Too bad three bulbs cost 1/4 the price of the fan itself. Still, thank you for sparing me a redo! Next time I'll look for bulb type on the fan packaging.

Pros
  • LONG LASTING: Get more use out of your bulbs, with a long 3,000 hour lifespan. Burnouts and replacement events will be few and far between with these halogen alternatives. Swap them out for your existing halogen bulbs during your next home improvement project.
Cons
  • Bulbs can become discolored due to heat

I found it on Ebay!

This is a replacement bulb for a Coleman Lantern that my son has had for years. I was finally able to fix it! Not a common bulb found in a store.

Pros
  • ‎1.0 Count
Cons
  • The high brightness could cause discomfort to light-sensitive individuals

Ceiling fan bulb in my review

We like using our ceiling fan for an overhead light in our dining room so three 40 watt incandescent bulbs was just not bright enough. To make matters worse our new fan uses the candelabra bulbs and there's not much room inside the diffuser, I was thinking about going with CFLs but I wasn't sure I would have the room. These Bulbrite bulbs were just the ticket! They're smaller than the candelabra bulbs and significantly brighter too. Since they're only 40 watts apiece I don't have to worry about

Pros
  • ‎No
Cons
  • Bulbs cannot be disposed of conventionally

Excellent white light

Bought one of these to try in a nice chandelier. The commodity incandescent bulbs it had put out this sickly yellow light that does not bring out the colors in the cut crystal. New (cheap) bulbs did not help, so I tried these which emit a different spectrum. The light from this bulb is white and intense and so gives a great deal more color from the crystal. It also retains its "whiteness" when dimmmed. An unexpected benefit is that the long filament creates these really neat radial line…

Pros
  • ‎2000 Kelvin
Cons
  • Higher temperature in living spaces compared to LEDs

It is a compact sleek looking 60W Soft white bulb which can deliver almost 100W bulb's luminance. This bulb gets really HOT. It is dimmable and works great with electronic dimmers. I was looking for a dimmable bulb (max 60W) with over 5000K color temperature. Most CFL bulbs won't work with electronic dimmers. In the future I will consider a 100W equivalent LED bulb. But at present this is the brightest 60W dimmable bulb which works with electronic dimmers.

Pros
  • ‎Instant On
Cons
  • Low availability in stores, limiting convenience for consumers

Very happy with my purchase as of day 1

Day 1 I had some E12 based CFL's in my ceiling fan before and they were abysmal. I've been trying to find something that could at least light up the bedroom in question and 3 of these in my fan definitely did that. After reading other reviews I made sure to never touch the bulb to avoid early burnout. They're very small bulbs so I was leery at first, but as soon as I turned on the light it was apparent how bright these are. Very happy with my purchase as of day 1. Will update on longevity if I…

Pros
  • ‎560 Lumen
Cons
  • Can be too yellow in hue for some users' preference

Nice bulb, but definitely not long lived

Nice bulb. Quiet, doesn't overheat, and a solid pleasant white light.Unfortunately, yet another lightbulb that you "invest" in, that lets you down regarding longevity.I purchased this a replacement bulb for a nightstand light. It gets a maximum of two hours of use each night, and on average probably 1 hour a night - it is never used otherwise. So, at that usage, it should have lasted between 1500 and 3000 days. Mine lasted 805.Another expensive bulb that doesnt come close to its rated…

Cons

Brightest candelabra bulb I could find

We have a fixture in our front entry that holds two candelabra bulbs (E12 size). That fixture is what I turn on when I walk in the front door, so it needs to be pretty bright, but the incandescent bulbs that I've been able to find in E12 are really wimpy: something like 25 or 40 watts are typical values. The bulbs that had been in there blew out a while ago, and I went on a quest to find something that would do a better job. I found some fluorescent bulbs from Ikea, but they're terrible: not…

Cons
  • Xenon bulbs have a slow startup time

Do Not Touch the Bulb!

I love these bulbs but have purchased way too many of them. I did not realize that I wasn't supposed to touch the bulb with my fingers as the oils will cause the bulb to burn out prematurely. Use the included foam protection sleeve that is wrapped around the bulb. Or a simple paper towel will work. Caution these bulbs get ridiculously hot so be sure to let it completely cool if you need to take it out.

Pros
  • ‎0.32 ounces
Cons
  • Not compatible with specific lamp models

Perfect KX20 /E12 20W replacement bulb

Exactly the bulb I needed for my bathroom fixture. We used to have a trendy goods and hardware store in the neighborhood that stocked these, but they closed. I'm glad Ebay had these! The CL designation is for CLEAR. They also stock a FRosted model.Note: When you put a new bulb in your fixture, DO NOT touch the glass. Just the smallest bit of oil from our skin shortens the bulbs life a LOT! I've found (with patience) I can screw the new bulb in using the foam that secures it in its packaging. Or

Pros
  • ‎Soft White
Cons
  • Prone to turning off spontaneously

i bought this bulb last year for a very bright dimmable option in my large salt lamp. for which it was a perfect use. it goes from whole room illumination to soft romantic lighting (through a salt lamp), (it has a soft buzz when turned on low dim). i left it on many hours a day. often 16 hours, as a sort of fire burning at my hearth (home) and turned it off at night to sleep. so for 9 months of constant use it reached its 3000 hr limit and popped apart. why? i dont know. i wish it, or a similar

Pros
  • Light Bulbs
Cons
  • Can emit a buzzing or humming sound when used with specific dimming switches

Don’t buy. Very, very short bulb life🙃😒

We have a newly built home (4 years). The original bulbs that came with the lights died early spring. We were in search of replacement bulbs. We were very happy when these bulbs were found on Ebay. These bulbs are rated low because I had to return and replace several bulbs. After a couple weeks of using the bulb it would stop working. In our opinion the bulbs are a bit pricey considering the longevity of the bulb. We are now considering buying new lights that uses regular bulbs.

Pros
  • ‎100
Cons
  • May cause yellowing of fabrics and finishes in the room
