I have a 2017 MacBook Pro with only a 256GB SSD. So far I've managed until my job shifted more to media and editing. Using mostly Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator has made this external hard drive a must have. I formatted it to Mac OS Extended (Journaled) using DISk utility and set it up as a scratch drive for my Adobe Cloud and it suits my needs perfectly. Simple and fast, and it's quiet too. The small size makes it easy to drop the bag and take it with you. I am very happy! *One important thing to note, seen in the stock photos but not obvious from the name: the device itself is NOT USB-C. Instead, they include a USB 2 to USB 3 adapter. At 2 TB. I should have had enough for a very long time!
