I must have spent a small fortune looking for an efficient and unobtrusive phone mount for my car. Until then, the best was a mount that used a CD hole but covered the front of the radio or held the phone at an upward angle. Other auction mounts didn't provide a strong enough hold, especially in hot (or very cold) weather. Also, the best mounting area on the dashboard is slightly curved, and the mounting pad does not work well. Both of these problems were compounded by the need to place the phone in mounts. This Logitech model has no such problems. First, the phone connects with fairly strong magnets, not your hands. That way, you don't have to make adjustments to levers that then compromise traction on the dash or windshield. Other mounts I've used that also used a magnetic connection between the phone and the mount had a tendency to slip and the phone would slide out of the mount over time or if you hit a bump in the road. There are no such problems here. And the auction for a dashboard or window is exceptionally strong. The holder is very reliable. So far I couldn't be happier!
