My shaker started smelling of sour milk and realized that under the old seal it was disgusting crap. I tried soaking it in bleach overnight but it didn't work. ordered online and my problem was solved immediately. The old ones are a chore to take off - I had to use a sharp knife to get the pointy end to get the old one out. once off - just install a new one.
