I didn't read the full description of this pump but bought it to help with an open pond. When I first used it, it would not mount on anything and was very unstable. I ended up mounting it on a piece of wood and it worked. I had to find another piece of tubing to attach to the inlet/outlet side and once that was done the only problem I had was turning it on and off. The biggest issue I had was that there is no on/off switch. Plugging and unplugging the cable is the only way to turn it on and off. The pump comes with an extra seal and impeller and is easy to disassemble and reassemble. It's a great little pump, but it didn't work well in my application.
