I'm amazed at how well they isolate any smell. I have a cat that sometimes eats too quickly and throws up and they are great for mopping up vomit and paper towels used for cleaning. I also use it when I've just taken out the trash and forgot to put a rotting product in my fridge (I live on the street so getting an item in the bin outside is a hassle) - even if something is in the whole kitchen stinks. I put it in one of those bags, tie it up and the smell is completely gone, it's amazing
