I bought this to install in a custom mini-ITX build I plugged into an old Atari 2600 case via USB 3 WiFi antenna from a high quality but as yet unnamed tech company, it wasn't a cheap antenna. This build is intended to be used as a multimedia/retro gaming machine for the living room, so having an extra device on the TV stand adds extra dust and visual clutter. We bought this model because it supports Wi-Fi 6 and offers plug-ins from Intel. -play supports my motherboard chipset. This was a good decision as the motherboard accommodated the new device and worked on the very first boot through Win10 - no additional drivers or BIOS configuration (other than the M.2 E slot being enabled). I didn't use the included PCI slot antenna connector or antenna sticks - since this is a custom build I treated it like a laptop and bought these cheap internal antenna pads: https://www.amazon.com/dp. /B08XN6WMXJ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share You connected directly to the map and immediately got great reception. The installer has been running flawlessly for almost a month now. The WiFi connection is stable over my router's WiFi 6 connection - never drops or freezes. Works perfectly. A great little card from Intel - and at around the same price as white label "budget" manufacturers, it's excellent value.
