Exactly as advertised. Good interface.

I've had my eye on linear consumables for a long time. According to my budget we chose GW Instek, this one and the Rigol 8 series. Rigol had more stringent specifications, but the feature list seemed to focus on industrial applications (such as quick product testing). Instek might have had the worst interface ever. So I chose Siglent. I just finished testing it. My device was calibrated in July. According to Siglent, once calibrated, the power supply can sit on the shelf for 180 days before first use and stay within specification for an additional year. I suspect what sets these blocks apart from the spec is the low frequency capacitors on the main side. So here is my report. All voltages are within limits, or at least as wrong as my Fluke MM and Rigol O-Scope. Channel 1 was 200 µV below the set voltage on all bands (tested resolution of 100 µV). Channel 2 had a level of about 100 μV. The logic channel was off by more than 100mV at all settings, but who cares. All three channels are within the noise limits. I tested with a high-resolution Rigol 1202 with 20 MHz noise reduction, maximum memory setting and coil mass on the probe. The claimed noise level is 1mV RMS. I recorded 1.7mV RMS, but I also found background noise at almost 1mV RMS, so I prefer Siglent. In general, I was attracted to the interface. I consider him the best in this class. If you need this urgently to test the production line, there is a timer setting.
