Generally a reliable power supply. voltage and current values.

Basically reliable power supply. The voltage and current readings are accurate. Computer control via USB port works. A current software update shows both target and actual values as originally intended. But only 4/5 stars because the display update rate (real-time voltage and current readings) is slow, maybe once per second. So if there are short current pulses, they are not visible on the display. In comparison, reading is almost instantaneous on cheaper 8-segment LED models. Also the software

What's good, what needs improvement

, so the good news is, firstly, the dimensions are smaller, and it has been shown to work, the voltage and current accuracy is very close to my HP gear. I thought it was a touchscreen, it isn't. As this is determined by the power software I would suggest the following updates. Another number for voltage and current. The ability to look at a screen when using only one side of the power supply. Clicking on both channels should show two channels with only one channel, this should show up on the…

Check fuse and AC voltage settings before connecting

This power supply was very well calibrated, it was accurate over the entire range. It turns off completely when you hit the main power button, but remembers your last settings and the number you set when you backed it up. The fan is quiet and seems to control the temperature. Sturdy construction and a handy carrying handle if you need to move it around the store and comes with good power cords. The only thing to remember is to check BOTH AC input voltage settings (100.120.220.240 supported but…

INCORRECT FUSE IN DEVICE. IMMEDIATELY SUCCESSFUL!

ATTENTION! READ PLEASE! The power supply itself is great! There are no complaints about him yet. The voltage levels are exactly the same as my Fluke desktop DMM. I'll post more later when other problems are found. The power pack is delivered from the factory with a voltage setting of 220 VAC. No problem. So I set the switches for 120V AC operation as instructed. Then I plugged it in, hit the power button and the fuse in the box blew! I pulled the fuse and noticed it was only a 3A fuse. The back

Good power supply, terrible software!

Power supply works but the software is terrible. Mine arrived with firmware 1.01.01.02.03, the current version on the Siglent website is 1.01.01.02.05. - You need to download almost 700MB of software and drivers (NI-Visa) to control it via USB or LAN. - To download the required NI visa, you must create an account on the National Instrument website. - After installation, NI-Visa will download a 300MB update! - No Mac OS support (nothing found on Siglent website) - For software it takes up more…

Ideal linear power supply for the laboratory

I've been using mine for 2.5 years, turned it on over 250 times and it's still like new. Let's start with the most important property: voltage accuracy. I have several Siglent SDMs and they show an accurate voltage setting calibration of less than 0.016% from 1.0V to 30.0V! , practically without drift. The residual AC current should be very low (the minimum I can measure is 0.5mV at 600kHz SDM bandwidth). Haven't tested it under full load yet. The ethernet and USB interfaces work as expected…

Exactly as advertised. Good interface.

I've had my eye on linear consumables for a long time. According to my budget we chose GW Instek, this one and the Rigol 8 series. Rigol had more stringent specifications, but the feature list seemed to focus on industrial applications (such as quick product testing). Instek might have had the worst interface ever. So I chose Siglent. I just finished testing it. My device was calibrated in July. According to Siglent, once calibrated, the power supply can sit on the shelf for 180 days before…

Very good. It could be better.

Pros: Well thought out voltage and current functions, V/A/W main display is crisp and clear, serial and parallel functions are great, and the network interface is both well documented and fully comparative to the front panel controls. The "Lock" function is excellent. It can store up to five "scenes" in memory, so you can keep common settings close at hand. These are all good reasons to buy something like this, so the pros here, while shorter than the cons section below, are actually something…
