I'm still a bit unsure of this product. We typically use AA batteries a lot, so I decided to purchase several of the Duracell rechargeables. The charger I had quit on me, so I found this one online and decided to give it a try.To start with, this charger works quite well and re-charges the batteries quickly. What I don't like, and what they kind of mention in their literature, is that if you don't take the batteries off as soon as it shows they are fully charged, then it can have an effect on the batteries ability to hold that charge. At least that's the only way I can think of to describe what it does.Well. even though I work from home.I get caught up in doing other stuff, and I may not remember to pull the batts off of the charger right after they are done. So far, I've had 4 of my newer batteries that have sat on the charger longer than they should, and it seems as if the charger decides to just drain the batts instead of keeping them charged up. As far as I know it hasn't ruined any of the batteries. I have been able to recharge one set of them and they seem to be working okay.I don't quite understand why a turn-off feature wasn't installed on this device like the previous charger I had. Seriously.that shouldn't be that hard to do.All-in-all.I would give this device 3.5 stars at this point. Maybe 4 stars if I'm being generous.
