We ordered it in November. Used once and it worked great. At Christmas we tried to use it to take the temperature of our fillet of beef and it didn't work anymore. We tried resetting it, removing the batteries, etc. but nothing worked. It said that the room temperature was 170°C and a piece of meat left at room temperature for over an hour had a temperature of over 200°C. The insanely inaccurate temps make that $40 junk. Don't waste money. I'm curious if this is really a real OXO product or a fake.
