Wall panel flush fit issues
"Old working" app issue. The internal dimensions of the brush comb assembly were too large to fit in the Carlon or Caddy brand embedded low voltage single ring. The brushes protruded about 3-4mm from the square hole (top and bottom) so the end plate included in the kit does not sit flush against the wall. Careful work with the Dremel tool shortened the brush comb (left and right), but this type of modification would not be acceptable if it were not a one-time fix. Look elsewhere when using this panel assembly to finish off a drywall opening.
