My 2 year old son has a wide instep and it's hard to find shoes that don't compress his instep when zipped up. These shoes did it. They are also very soft on the inside and have a flexible sole that is perfect for small feet. My son will soon outgrow his current pair and the leather still looks new which is a huge achievement given that he throws away all of his shoes. I will definitely buy him another pair!
