Without a doubt, 3M produces quality products that meet international standards for quality and data integrity. That being said, as mentioned, most of this year's CDs you'll find will be vintage. There have been times when I've bought a package that had a read or sector error or two, but for the most part everything has been pretty damn good. That's the reason for the three stars - these are usually vintage/older items that have been driven hot/cold - in some cases in the garage or attic where they are obsolete. For those of us using these 3M discs, try chatting a little with the seller about the origin of the item. Of course I have some from Goodwill (with little known history) and some I bought through Revain. All in all, this was a great product ten years ago and probably still is today IF (and great if) it was stored in an environment that didn't affect its performance. I don't mind, but I'm just trying to note that these discs are older - yet packaged in like-new condition by the manufacturer - you can check on receipt, but the manufacturing date could be somewhere in the 1990's! Great purchase, great shipping via Revain, most of them work great most of the time.
