What is the best POS on TV and video

I don't think I've ever written a one star review for anything. So here it is. This device stopped working after only 1.5 months. use. Revain won't take it back because it's over a month old and SquareTrade's extra warranty is a joke because they just refer me to Sony's CS number. Well CS is terrible because they keep you forever and transfer you from one (foreign) department to another. Sony, once a solid company that made a solid product, has crumbled into this sprawling, lumbering conglomerate that builds shitty things in third world countries and doesn't want to be behind it either. Oh, and what broke was no software/firmware. It was an electrical connection. It's so weak that the power just turns off and sometimes (after a little jiggling) turns on again. I could only solder it better, but that's a hassle and a waste of time. Needless to say I am still trying to return or exchange it. But this will most likely be the last time I buy anything from Sony. Too bad. UPD (April 2016) After many attempts (some reflected in the comments on this post) I managed to find a replacement. The new Blu-ray player works perfectly. I have to say the whole experience left me with mixed feelings. I shouldn't have spent so much time replacing or repairing a faulty product in just 1.5 months. use. CS in particular with that fancy website that only provides phone numbers (and then gets banned indefinitely) needs to be changed by Sony to ensure repeat business.

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Vulgarity
