Review on 🐠 Enhanced Performance Fluval Aquarium Filter by Clay Elmer

This thing is a beast. I'm writing this after getting a bit frustrated with the setup because the hose clamps they give you for the hoses do NOT fit over the black trim at the top of the tank. At this price it's annoying and frankly a bit ridiculous. I broke the first clip trying to force it which made me angry for paying so much. For the second I took a hacksaw and simply cut out a 2 inch piece of trim after which the clip would fit properly on top. Everything stays fine, but just something to be aware of. What a big oversight for such a simple thing. Anyway, Filter: It's amazing. I use it for red-eared turtles (turtles produce a lot of waste) in a 75 gallon tank. I also have a few small fish that are slowly disappearing every day. The water remains remarkably clear. Looks like I did a water change every day. This comes as close as possible to the "set it and forget it" principle. I can't say anything about durability yet, but I'm impressed with the performance. Just buy if you can afford it. That makes everything a lot easier. Edit: A year has passed and still valid. I clean the pads and filter every two months and replace things as needed - I probably didn't need to replace anything to be honest, but I just need to be thorough. Still works well with RES, a large convict cichlid and a tera fish coexisting peacefully. The water is crystal clear.
