I bought a large 10" vise which was cheaper than a 9" vise at the time. I'm very happy with it so far. It is very heavy (40 kg). The do-it-yourself installation under the workbench in the back is a little tricky, but it can be done with some clamps to temporarily hold it in place. I noticed that the edges of the casting are a little rough and sharp, so before installing I took a file to round them off and prevent skin cutting. The vise works well. It offers great clamping force, sufficient for woodworking. Pros: good, strong, heavy vise. Well lubricated with no stains or rust. The quick adjustment works great and can be done both in and out with one hand while holding the object to be placed with the other hand. This is a big time saver. I would buy it again and maybe for a different bank. The side of the vise that is static to the bench is almost perfect for the edge of the bench at a 90 degree angle. Good enough for most installations. Cons: Difficult to install. The edges of the casting needed some sanding in certain places. The online specs didn't include all the key measurements I was looking for. I needed the depth under the bench that the vise occupied because I needed to put the vise under the bench but over the drawer. The area was tight and every 1/8" counts! Anyway, I made it fit. I'm very happy with the installation. I'll provide full vise dimensions soon.
