Review on HyperX Cloud Alpha S - The Ultimate PC Gaming Headset with 🎧 7.1 Surround Sound, Adjustable Bass, Dual Chamber Drivers, and Memory Foam in Blue. by Akemi Akio ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

I should have looked for better, I spent my money on a mediocre product.

3 stars put for the most part for the last 3 minuses. How obscenely it was done by the manufacturer. A sound card that only reveals half the potential of the headphones, cuts off the bass and cuts the high frequencies very much with it, I thought I was the only one so paranoid, but a friend who is not interested in sound at all in terms of technology and then said that they sound like it is clamped, high or not enough. (yes, the sound will be better than through frankly basic triples on laptops or motherboards of computers) and for this zvukovuhu there is a good dump of money against the background of the general price of the ears. In addition, we decided to make a "very competent move" by pushing the cable from the sound system 2 meters, and the headphones have only 1 (ordinary ears have a length of 1.3 somewhere) and making a combined connector for some reason. Okay, this can be replaced, and there’s nothing to change for, the cable entrance itself at the ears is proprietary and only the manufacturer knows where to look for another replacement. Was it really not easier to make 2 versions with a sound card like this option and a little cheaper (for example, a thousand) where there will be a 2 meter cable with two 3 pin connectors for micro and ears separately. At worst, do it like logitech and put one more cable in the kit? This costs a penny to the manufacturer, even a very good cable with normal stuffing inside will cost the manufacturer a couple of hundred (let the price be 500r higher with a good cable). And then in the end it turns out that already the buyer who decides to make a normal sound in his ears, which initially should be like this and will have to look for a splitter at least a meter for a comfortable stay and that it would be normal inside (the difference with a normal and some kind of not very good cable is immediately noticeable ) to connect to a normal sound card, and this fig knows where to shove it. Okay, the sound, it is tolerable through the bundled card, although it’s immediately clear that you can noticeably better even with basic cards for a couple of thousand, but the microphone . How muffled and clamped it sounds with the bundled card, but with another card it’s another matter

Pros
  • - Quite a cool sound (in principle, you don’t expect this in gaming ears, there is either a dry, labored sound, or you listen mostly to one bass (I won’t point fingers at which companies) -Very comfortable fit, very straight, the ears breathe in them and there is no feeling of tightness, and even despite the fact that the ear pads are mostly cotton wool in them without memory effect (maybe this is important to someone), they themselves are like very soft pillows and literally swallow their head , the same thing about weight, it seems heavy in numbers, but you can sit in them for hours in combination with the factors above -There is a bass adjustment, you can make it more voluminous and so that the bass does not protrude at all (I know there are some) and most importantly, this happens in an analog way without any digital intervention, purely physics -Adequate microphone where you can hear with amplification everything you do at a distance of 2 meters exactly (with some conditions about which in the comments) - Detachable cable, which can also be called without a doubt a plus -In the kit there are fabric ear pads for people with especially large sweating and, in principle, to sit in very hot weather -Unitary design for any occasion, they look stylish and not flashy, especially in black, you can safely walk down the street in them by turning off the microphone and you will not look like some strange person, as for example, in other gaming ears from almost everyone. For the aesthetic pleasure of the appearance, it’s a big plus, I really liked it
Cons
  • -Very cheap packaging (for me, the first impression is important, because in principle it is fixed to some extent for the subsequent time of use) in gaming headphones, I clearly want a beautiful and presentable packaging. I understand that I overpay compared to other ears, and not headphones in a plastic tray, where everything else was thrown in a bag on the bottom, why were past generations packaged in much richer and more presentable packages? -The bag itself for transportation is again the bottom, an ordinary and very thin rag, protects the maximum from debris with crumbs in the briefcase. I would like a tight case, at least made of dense fabric, not to mention a full-fledged case in which many headphones are already packed for transportation for 4k -If you put a bag for transportation, then you mean that they can be transported (the captain is obvious) and in principle it is so, you can safely walk down the street with them and throw them into a briefcase for example later, why can’t you fold your ears then? As for me, the folding design was very handy. -Proprietary connector for most detachable cable -The cable itself is only 1 meter and has one 4-pin connector (combined for headphones and a microphone), and not as desirable 2 connectors of 3 pins separately for micro and ears -Absolutely useless sound card in the kit for which at least 2k goes to the price of the ears
