Review on Elegant Choise Defender Protective Kickstand by Tim Hull

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The case will most likely protect the tablet from falls; Cheap plastic and very difficult to remove. (read the note!)

Edited Note: After posting this review I was contacted and offered $3 (I declined) to change the review or to remove. While the email listed things I mentioned as negative, it didn't suggest removing the misleading photo, and of course the product is what it is - it doesn't change. I take product reviews seriously because I use them myself to select products. Also, I'm serious about being in the top 500 columnists. The overview remains unchanged, supplemented by this tip. Fur. I had high hopes for this case. I've used similar cases for other devices with great results. The red plastic on it felt cheap and brittle compared to other cases. While it was easy to assemble with the tablet, detaching it is another matter entirely. Serious. This thing wants to stay forever. If that's your intention, then this will work great. The only way to get it off was to carefully slide a thin knife blade between the two red plastic pieces and carefully pry it off by moving it along the edges. Tried other ways and nothing worked. With the tablet in the case, it is well protected. I suspect that in most falls, the case will withstand all impacts, even if it shatters, saving the tablet. I gave two stars for poor quality plastic; difficulty of removal; and a picture of the product showing it standing upright, if not just horizontal.
