I bought velcro straps first which I like a lot. They come in handy when tying up loose cords for a waffle maker, blender, cell phone, etc. They come with a lot more cables for less money than big brands and work just as well, but they do scratch a bit when it comes down to handling them. The outer colored down is stiffer and more spiky while the inner ones are the same, but that's not as much of an issue as you'll want the inner cord to stay attached. So, for all intents and purposes, this is a really good deal.
