There are better ones: painting, drawing & craft supplies

These pens aren't bad. You actually have a nice darkness when you work with a lot of blending. However, they are so soft. When I need to shade a large dark area, I usually have to sharpen the pencil 4 or 5 times to get it looking more or less even. The price is great. If you don't do anything with large dark areas, they're great. However, if you need a pencil that will last for multiple drawings, you might want to look for a better brand.
