These bags are on the verge of a miracle. They work as advertised and you can put anything in and the top zip is a strong seal that keeps air and other air like gases or odors out. I put all sorts of things in it, mainly food to keep in the freezer. When I take food out of the freezer, it's just magical. The food is still there but has undergone a kind of transformation - it's usually harder than pickling and gets damn cold too, but after a while the food is just as fresh as when it was pickled. Sometimes I forget the food in the bag in the freezer and after months and months I take it out and it won't do any good, but I don't blame the bags. Bags are in great demand. Other things I put in these bags with great success are old fragile books, vacation cards, balloons (I have lots of balloons), keys and wallet (beach bags at the beach!), household items like pasta. and biscuits (but not together) and I think there are many other items that would find a perfect home in these packages. Highly recommend for your gallon sized bags.
