I like the comfort my foot feels. The softness is a plus but make sure you have room inside of your shoes to add this gel support. The gel pads have worked wonders 4the pain that has been nagging my feet 4years & the pads are okay. I need the lubricant for moisture. But not moisturizing isn't an option4 the most part they definitely have alleviated the pressure on the ball of my feet which in turn caused me2 have calluses. However, I am still learning as I use them but for now I totally recommend the purchase.
