I tested it on a cable that I knew was bad and it showed a broken wire as expected. Checked on a known good, everything is fine. I wish the LEDs were a bit brighter, they're hard to see on the road, but I guess that's not typical usage. This showed that the cable I made was good, but the cable still didn't work. Have found that the contact in the crimped cable is bad. It would be nice to have a tester that actually tries to send and receive data for testing.
