Pins on the skirt keep the skirt in place and prevent it from sliding and dragging on the floor. I bought a new mattress and box spring and it was a bit smaller than the old one. The bed skirt was too long and I tripped over it! So adding pins to keep the skirt at the right depth to the ground was exactly the answer! Good product. Many Thanks.
