First, it pretty much erases the stabilization in the GoPro Hero 9 by default. Second, YOU NEED BRIGHT LIGHT. Have you ever tried shooting in low light with a GoPro? Did you notice the terrible picture quality? This is what you get when you use this lens in everything but very bright light. Third, this is only for the ND16/PL hybrid. I couldn't figure out how to know if it's polarized or non-polarized. A small notch on the lens clearly does not help. I found out when it was polarized by pointing a GoPro at my monitor and making a mark on the lens barrel, but that's ridiculous. It's almost impossible to know when you're using a GoPro live on a head mount unless you're looking at the image, and to do that you'll have to either use an app (which drains the battery) or remove it from your head by loosening a screw. , look at the picture, rotate the lens until you figure it out (and hope you're right). I would not take this lens. Instead, buy a polarized lens and/or an ND16 lens. Don't take a hybrid. Fourth, some reviewers say it cannot be used in water. I think they just didn't apply the lens properly. You have to make sure it is applied correctly. I have used several times. The GoPro lens does not have this problem. You just twist and it's tight. But this lens needs to be pressed perfectly against the body and then rotated and pressed to close properly. I wouldn't risk putting it in the water though. but i think it is possible. Fifth, it works fairly well for shots where sunlight typically either blows out your image or ruins it with flare. And if you need it on a clear day for a beautifully wide shot of mountainous terrain without moving, then a standard lens will do better. Either on snow in a similar situation, or on water (assuming you don't move).
