Review on πŸ”Œ Stouchi Fiber-Optic Oculus Link Cable 16Ft | USB C 3.2 Gen 1 | 5Gbps & 3A | Nylon Braided | Oculus Quest 2 Compatible by Mike Marks

Mine was defective but probably good.

I received the box with damage as shown in the attached picture and it was well packed. Braided cables always last a long time, and this is fiberglass, so the cable is lighter than the standard cable (but still heavier than the official cable because of the braid). But certainly at a better price than the official Oculus cable. Fiberglass is a lighter material and much faster, although you won't notice a difference in speed without a newer PC, but consider it the future. It also comes with a USB-C to USB-A adapter which is GREAT because the official adapter doesn't and the vast majority of computers still don't use USB-C. Unfortunately the one I received was defective, I tried to troubleshoot it. Within hours of figuring out what was going on, the Oculus Quest 2 appeared to charge properly on the first try. I connected it to port 3.0 and it seems to work for this purpose. On the Oculus Quest 2 itself, every time I click "Enable Oculus Communication" which SHOULD connect it to my PC, I just get "PC has been disconnected". It was a red flag for my cable failure. A few days later, after trying again, the Oculus Quest 2 didn't even know it was disconnected and wouldn't even charge from it. Stuchi was quick to respond and offered solutions in the form of a refund or replacement. Worst case (and apparently a very rare scenario) you will receive a faulty cable like I did and they will just refund you or send you a new one. However, the Stouchi Oculus Link cable is your best option if you want a higher quality cable without paying the full $80 for the official cable. It also comes with a lifetime warranty, which is great.
