Make sure you have a very good connection otherwise you have resistance = HEAT. I ended up connecting them with a wire nut which fixed the problem. Motor: I hooked this up to a Monster motoE1000 with a LifeP04 48V 20Ah battery (that thing is absolutely ripping! I'm 6ft 235 and I have a top speed of about 28mph on grass. I'm using it alongside a Juiced Bike with I drove an mph gauge against my son (125 pounds) and we were neck and neck.. bye...enjoy!
