I've been searching and searching for a new ceiling fan to replace the very outdated 36 inch ceiling fan in our master bathroom. I guess I've looked at over two hundred ceiling fans but haven't had any luck finding a small smart fan that looks like what I wanted. I wanted a small smart fan that looked exactly like this fan. So I ordered this fan and then took matters into my own hands. I put a 10" 80 tooth finishing blade on my miter saw and converted this 52" ceiling fan into a 40" ceiling fan. I took masking tape and taped all the blades tightly together and then in one cut removed 6" from the Ends of all blades. I suppose it was a bit risky but it all worked surprisingly well. The finishing blade on the miter saw cut the blades perfectly and once assembled the fan worked great too. The fan is still perfectly balanced there is no backlash. And even with significantly shortened blades, the fan still drives decent air. Now almost everything in my house is automated and controlled with the Tuya Smart Life app. This is a great home automation app. And this ceiling fan with the Tuya Being able to control an app is one of the main reasons I ordered this ceiling fan, plus adding these took time s ceiling fan to the Tuya app literally about 30 seconds. And once I added it to the Tuya app, it was automatically added to my Revain Alexa app. And that brings me to a very important unmentioned piece of information that I stumbled upon. Added ceiling fan to Tuya app in one piece. HOWEVER, the ceiling fan is added to the Alexa app in THREE parts. Three parts: fan control, white light control and amber light control. By combining two different colors of light, you can control the overall color temperature of the light. So be sure to find the two lighting controls in your Alexa app, and then you can edit their individual names to your liking, and like me, group them if you like.
