This set of LED camping Lantern flashlights is a nice little set. Each lantern is compact, but SUPER bright! My one year old loves to grab them and open them and then he cries because he blinds himself. :) Each lantern measures approx 5 inches tall by 3.5 inches wide when collapsed and 7.5 inches tall when extended. The way you turn these lights on and off is by extending the lantern out of the base. There is no on/off switch or dimmer switch. You can make the light less bright by choosing how far out to extend the lantern out from the base. 3 AAA batteries are needed and are included with the lanterns. I cannot attest to how long the batteries last as I have not used these lanterns for an extended period of time yet. I will be taking them on a camping trip in a few weeks and will let you know if my opinion changes! The reason for 4 stars is due to the inability to dim the actual light. Other than that, I would recommend these lanterns to my friends!*I received these lanterns at a discounted price in exchange for my honest review.
