These are awesome! I bought a four pack for my family as we are hoping to get a camping trip together soon. We have two little ones and they had a blast with these. These lanterns were absolutely amazing! We bought them for Hurricane Irma in case the power went out. And sure enough the power went out way before the worst part came through. All lights worked; however, one of the lights retaining bolt's nut had come loose. It took awhile, along with a bit of clever rubber band work, to get the bolt to stay in place in order to feed it through the bottom of the light platform so as to reattach the nut but thereafter the unit seems to work as planned.As to my best guess, I'd make the amount of light somewhere between a 25 watt and 30 watt incandescent bulb. I love these small lightweight portable lanterns. We have occasional power outages and these are wonderful. You can also walk outside in the night and carry with the handles. Very nice to have on hand. They take three AA batteries. The volume of light is adjustable. Our garage light is temporarily out and these really came in handy after dark. I plan to keep one in my vehicle for emergency use. Highly recommend.

These lights are super bright and lit camp for the 1st night. After that they got dimmer and dimmer super fast. By day 4 they were hardly visible at all. They are ok for short durations. I plan on getting some usb chargeable lights to use more often.

This is a strange review to write but a friend of mine bought these and they work great! I ordered the same lights but never received them because a certain carrier whose name starts with an ‘F’, lost them in transit and so I was given a refund. My friend who keeps one in his car, used it recently while changing a flat tire on the road at night. These are so very bright! Initially, I got them to use at outdoor vendor events, as it’s been getting dark outside earlier. The first time I opened one of these, I was momentarily blinded. But I realized, I could simply not open them all the way at first and just let a little light out at a time. A few days after arriving, we experienced a power outage at 4am, just as my husband was getting ready for work. 1 lantern lit up the entire bathroom & bedroom, allowing him to finish getting ready.
