Now I had my doubts about buying one as it's not that common here in the US, but sometimes you just have to admit that there are a few things that are common in other countries perform better we do and this is just one of them. I mean, think of it this way, if you got a bit of poo anywhere else, you wouldn't settle for cleaning it up with just a bit of TP, would you? Well, after 40 years of streaks in my drawers, I wasn't. Either way, if you understand even a little bit how plumbing and pressure works, it's pretty easy to install. The only thing I've had a real problem with is that I have a vanity that I had to drill a hole in to get the hot water line through. (and yes, living in a northern state, hot water was a must during the winter months, which was one of the reasons I chose this model). I probably won't need it, I didn't even look at the thing and was able to install it without any problems. Another big plus for me was the flex lines and metal fittings that come with this thing. I looked at several models before settling on this one, but most had cheap plastic slings that you had to cut yourself and PVC fittings. Having these pre-made flex lines made the job a lot easier and gave me more confidence that the line wouldn't fail in the future. There was also some teflon tape inside but I wasn't sure if it would be enough so I ordered a roll when I ordered it, rather too much than too little given the quantity that was shipped. Box I think it could have been enough but I just used the roll I bought it was less than $2 here so why not. I'd say the #1 tip I could give is don't worry about the plastic tool they send to disconnect and connect the fittings, it just doesn't do the job and comes off pretty easily, buy it Get a nice adjustable wrench or box wrench set so you can make sure all the bolts are tight and tight. Well, in terms of how it works, the flow is pretty strong, even on very low settings, which is certainly good, but surprises you at first. Twist the knob one way and it should be in the front (for women) and the other way in the back (for everyone), but out of curiosity I had to play with both and found that they both seem to hit the same area of the back, only the one that says it's for the back is more concentrated and the one that says it's for the front is wider, but both are good for washing where I (the man) need to wash. So you ladies might be disappointed with the front end. One pro tip I would recommend: Before using, run hot water in the sink for a few seconds to flush the cold water out of the tap and also run the bidet cleaning function to flush out any remaining cold water drain the sink. bend before you want to wash yourself with it, otherwise you may only get cold water at first. Take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with everything so you know how to experience it all. And yes, if you lean forward and turn it on, even if you're not sitting on the toilet, the water will pour out, likely hitting you square in the face. Also, it raises the back of the toilet seat a bit so there's a slight angle, which isn't enough to really bother me, but I might just add some extended bumpers to the seat in the future to balance it out more. Overall, although I've just installed and tried it, I'd say I'm very happy with it, I feel cleaner at the back. I'm sure it will take time to get used to, it's hard to reprogram a 40-year-old habit of only using toilet paper and I'm a little worried about how it's being received by bathroom guests will, but given how cheap it's model was and how easy it was to install and so far I have no complaints.
