Review on ๐Ÿ”ฉ Stainless Steel Hub Mount Kit by Wheel Masters 8001 by Robert Capers

Waste of time and money!

I bought this for my 1998 Tioga 24D Class C Motorhome on a Ford E-350 frame. It has 225X75-16 tires mounted on 16X6 wheels. It also has stainless steel hubcaps that bolt to the hub. I got them because it was a hassle to check/inflate tires. They have two mounting options, one by bolting to the hub (wheels without caps) and the other by drilling and riveting clips to hold the hoses in place for these. with center cover. I had to do it with rivets. The instructions say to measure four inches from the base to drill and rivet the staples into the center cap of the lid. And then the problems started! The center hub was only 3 1/2 inches high, even when I measured from the bottom of the hubcap to the top of the center hub it was only four inches. I went to my RV and hooked extensions onto the valve stems and there was no way it would fit a 16-19 inch wheel! When connected, they stick out about 4 inches over the edge. The shortest extension in the kit is 13" (outer wheel) and the other is 17", the outer wheel is only 6" from the threaded end of the stem to the edge of the rim! Almost like 22" rims but not properly packaged. Other inner wheel extensions sold by companies like Pacific Dualies are only 7 inches long, not 17 inches long. Sent back today and got 18100 for inner wheels from PD and 135 degrees for outer ones.
