I'm an IT professional and I do a lot of maintenance on cage servers - in other words, lots and lots of bolts and other screws that are accessible. Have this to help. Tried the thumb loop - it even fits with gloves on, but my hand got a little warm from the extra material. Instead I just tied it to the nearest horizontal bar and screwed in all my screws as I worked. Magnetism never lost. There are no dead zones as far as I can tell (I've even thrown screws a few times and they got stuck about 80% of the time). Very useful if you regularly wear gloves at work because the magnetism allows you to handle screws more easily than a bag.
