While the concept is great the result is mediocre. The foam pads are flimsy and the foam's Velcro surface just came off when trying to remove the sandpaper. The entire assembly must be larger in diameter; When attached to a drill (unless the drill is running VERY slowly and is being held perfectly perpendicular to the surface being sanded), the torque of the drill will rotate the base and leave sanding marks on the wood. In principle, it is almost impossible to achieve an ideal result. It may just be user error, but having used this machine on various projects for almost a year I would prefer a hand sander or invest in a random orbit sander.
