Review on The Gaabs by Jon Lewis

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The gaabs website is cluttered with ads and other content that appear to be trying to sell me something.

I'm not sure if this was intentional, but the gaabs website is terrible. Every page is cluttered with advertisements and other content that appears to be trying to sell me something. Not a great start for any business! In addition, the design itself looks amateurish and clunky. Overall, I don't think that the site communicates a message that I'd be proud to associate myself with. I'm guessing that it's a low cost entry point for their services. Their pricing model isn't bad - you get all the features at no charge as long as your volume is above some threshold (i forget exactly) which makes sense since they're providing value added services rather than just raw computing power. But, when compared to AWS or Rackspace Cloud Servers, there aren't many compelling reasons why anyone would use them over those providers instead of an established hosting provider like Softlayer.
