Review on πŸ•οΈ Montana 6-Person Coleman Tent by Luis Esquivel

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Kept dry in tornado conditions

Can't complain. We stayed dry from one of the worst storms I've ever been in (and not just while camping, but in my entire life). Setup was easy and quick. Only 2 hours after setting up the tent, a terrible storm swept through the camp and immediately started raining and hailing out of nowhere. The hail ranged from the size of a pea to slightly larger than a marble/nickel. The wind was constant 35 m/s with gusts up to 65+ m/s. The storm lasted 30 minutes and went exactly as it came. With all the rain came a river that flowed right where our tent was. After the storm, we assessed the damage. The 2 side bars extending both fenders failed causing the rain cover to have too much play and minimal water flow through the mesh roof. However, we only used 5 of the 7 bindings on the rain cover (without expecting a tornado nearby). I have a feeling if we used 2 rear side mounts we would probably be safe from moisture ingress. And with 3-4 inches of water flowing quickly through our property I have to say I am very glad that NO water got into our tent. All in all a really great tent. and weather check video, very accurate!
