I have been using these things for about six years now and I have to say they are one of the three art tools that I consider an absolute must have ( the other two objects - my sketchbook and pencil) for me as an artist who works almost exclusively with graphite. They offer a level of precision I haven't found in any other eraser tool, as my hand can move the eraser as efficiently as a regular pencil (so the eraser is much sturdier) while still maintaining a sharp little point. .I like using them for detailing selection work, but I also like using them because they allow me to quickly erase mistakes without the risk of crumpling the paper like a big eraser or removing too much drawing. I also think the eraser itself is very high quality! There isn't much eraser dust left, and I've never had a problem with the eraser leaving marks staining the paper (some erasers have even turned my paper pink!), so overall I like these things. The downside, I think, is that you have to sharpen it like a traditional pencil and when the factory point wears out you can never get a point that small and perfect, but honestly compared to the alternative for small, precise erasers, I did I have no problem at all with how they work. I think the product concept is ingenious and definitely geared towards the artist. If you draw with a pencil and need fine detail or precision when erasing, these things are worth every penny and sets of two can last a very, very long time. I've probably only bought 10 packs in the last 6 years (so I use about 3 whole pencils a year) and tend to draw a lot. I always keep a few in my pencil case and a few are always handy on the table.
