I have a 2014 Dodge 2500 4x4 Diesel. The hardest part of the installation was the very first step. It took a bit of figuring out which 2 bolts to loosen on the bumper bracket as the picture in the instructions was confusing. I put the pieces together (minus the actual step) and was able to figure it out from there. The instructions say to put the TrekStep mounting bracket on the studs. I have found that it can only be installed on the opposite side of the studs. My kit didn't have 2 part-threaded studs, but there were 2 fully-threaded studs of the right size, so this wasn't a problem. I also had to remove the small bracket that attached the outside edge of the bumper to the truck to make room for the TrekStep. Everything, it was really very easy, even for me, a 58 year old woman. TrekStep works great and I didn't have to install either pad.
