Needed to detect rust on my truck before painting. It was a million times easier and better than using sandpaper. Removes rust much more effectively. Easier to blend color fringes around bare metal. Left the metal smoother than sanding with fine sandpaper. Was perfect for what I needed to do. At one point I thought it was just a small spot of rust, but the rust has spread under the paint. The scraper brush lifted the chipped paint with rust underneath without pulling anything extra. I would never have noticed rust under the paint if I had used sandpaper. Wear gloves as using them creates tiny bits of fiberglass that can stick to your skin if you touch them and make them itch like a nut.
