UPDATE: Called PetSafe direct and they replaced the faulty product with a new one that works as expected. My standard poodle is a runner and it took extra time to teach her a home boundary that she would feel safe playing in our yard. Very happy now. Went from zero to four stars. ---- We are incredibly disappointed in this product - after several hours of research, we had high hopes that this would be the perfect solution for our 1.25 Acer home. We had the Invisible Fence system 18 years ago and needed to update something for our new dog. The transmitter is not receiving power when plugged into an outlet - we checked the outlet and there is power. Either the transmitter or the transformer is defective. We bought the NIB product at the end of July and it has been on the kitchen table ever since. For good reason I didn't get around to installing it until today (two months later) and missed the return window. Very very disappointed in the lost investment.
