CHOOSE YOUR WIRE: In-ground wire is sold separately so that you can purchase the gauge best for your yard; PetSafe offers Standard (20 Gauge) and Heavy Duty (16 Gauge) in varying lengths. RUN-THROUGH PREVENTION: The correction level will increase if your pet tries to run through the boundary zone; an automatic safety shut-off will stop correction after 30 seconds. RECHARGEABLE COLLAR: The rechargeable collar quickly charges in 2-3 hours; a low-battery indicator lets you know when it is time to recharge the collar. WATERPROOF COLLAR: The waterproof collar is submersible up to 3 feet; the collar fits pets 5 pounds and up and adjusts to fit neck sizes between 6-26 inches. Good Fence in Radio and Wireless Fences

This fence works well. The installation requires a lot of work, but it is doable. Guidance and customer support are very helpful.

I'm shocked (no pun intended) at how well this works!

Our 13lb Yorkshire/Shitsu is a hit. We have a heavily wooded area on the lake and I followed her up to 1/4 mile and was desperate. I ordered a stronger wire and walked through the woods and yards with a big "U" for several days. She's been training for days and she's bulletproof! Wild animals, neighbor and guest dogs did not provoke them to cross the border (one experience was enough). So bottom line, a find! Highly recommended!

Great electric dog fence

Product does what it is supposed to do! I had to call support and tell them about the transmitter beeping constantly so they sent me a new transmitter which works great! Since all transmitters are factory set to a zero cutoff level, it is recommended that you simply turn the cutoff control clockwise until the annoying beeps are gone, and then cycle to two digits. You can adjust the limit after running the test to see where the alerts start to approach the cable with the test light. The supportโ€ฆ

UPDATE: Product defective - won't turn on when plugged in. Doesn't take food.

UPDATE: Called PetSafe direct and they replaced the faulty product with a new one that works as expected. My standard poodle is a runner and it took extra time to teach her a home boundary that she would feel safe playing in our yard. Very happy now. Went from zero to four stars. ---- We are incredibly disappointed in this product - after several hours of research, we had high hopes that this would be the perfect solution for our 1.25 Acer home. We had the Invisible Fence system 18 years agoโ€ฆ
