I bought these to keep the hood from rattling when driving in the wind. Add a semi-rigid rig going the other way and the hood looks like it's about to pop out! So I'm going to start with the warm up, easy! I removed the trellis to get to the bottom of the latches, that helped! Top, simple, the only problem I had was that I have a JKU. So I used the JK spacers that came with the kit. (You get 4 total, a JK set and a JL set.) Using the 'correct' one caused the latch to chafe on my hood. I can see the latch damaging the paint as I drive down the road so I replaced them with thicker JL washers and the problem is solved! Now I have space between the latch and the hood. Highly recommend, the hood is durable on the road and looks GREAT! Several other Jeepers have already ordered them since seeing them!
